Snowzei is a veteran piano teacher and performer based in Toronto who’s been teaching since the age of 16 and playing piano since the age of 3. Over the years, she has worked for numerous independent film soundtracks and companies, and worked as the musical director of York University’s long-standing acappella group, WIBI. Her role as musical director afforded her opportunities to work with major public brands including CanWest, Global TV, and Kraft Canada on music-related projects. After years of competing in multiple high-profile singing competitions, she was awarded the chance to compete in Changsha, China in the summer of 2011 for the Blossoming Flowers Chinese singing competition created by Hunan TV.

Majoring in Classical Piano Performance at York University, Snowzei works as a piano teacher at different schools and at her own home studio, implementing a method that she’s developed over her 10+ years of teaching that helps build confidence and independence in her students. Here’s her teaching philosophy below:

“I believe that everyone is unique, the same way how each student learns is unique. Learning and progress can be very difficult at times so I aim to foster a student’s curiosity and enthusiasm for music yet still balance that motivation with a good foundation to technique. I strive to create lessons that students look forward to and help build a teacher-student relationship that develops a mutual trust and respect. Music is my life and passion and I hope to help students find the love and gratification that I’ve found in music and learning.”
